Analytical company Canalys analyzed the smartphone market in North America in the first quarter of 2019. It differs in that 83% of all sales are made by only three companies — Apple, Samsung and LG.
Moreover, 25% of mobile — XR iPhone, Samsung Galaxy S10+ and S10e. They occupy a market share of 13% and 6% respectively.
Only in North America for the quarter was sales of 36.4 million smartphones. This is a significant decrease compared to the previous year, when sales were 44.4 million Drop is 18%.
The first place is Apple with a market share of 40%, its sales decreased by 19% compared to last year. Samsung is in second place with a share of 29.3%, sales increased by 3%. Closes the top three LG with a share of 13.3% and a drop in sales by 24%. Note that being in fourth place, the Chinese company Lenovo with the subordinated Motorola brand increased sales by as much as 42%, achieving a market share of 6.5%.
